Dr. Chris Frederick first fell in love with Boulder in 1994 when he attended the University of Colorado where he studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Upon graduating in 1998 Dr. Frederick spent several years in various occupations ranging from stock brokerage to raft guiding and eventually was introduced to the field of dentistry as a dental assistant. It didn't take long to realize that a career in dentistry provided the perfect fit of artistry, science, and service that he had been looking for. Dr. Frederick attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia and after graduating in 2008 moved back to Boulder to begin practicing dentistry. Dr. Frederick is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and participates in local study groups for advanced dental training.
In the summer of 2015, Dr. Frederick had the opportunity to acquire the practice of Dr. Steven Buffer who had been practicing in Boulder for over 30 years. Dr. Frederick is honored to continue Dr. Buffer's legacy of excellent care and is excited to update the practice with new digital technology.
Though passionate about the field of dentistry, Dr. Frederick maintains balance in life by taking advantage of all Colorado has to offer. He is an avid snowboarder, whitewater kayaker, mountain biker, amateur shutterbug, and lover of music.
Ann is originally from Long Island, but moved to CO a little over 20 years ago to raise her two sons. Now that they are mostly “all grown up,” she has a lot more time to pursue her many diverse interests. Ann works part time as hairstylist and is also a professional ceramics sculptor- she even recently starting teaching ceramics classes! Her hobbies include running, yoga, taking scenic road trips with her husband on their motorcycles, and even taking motorcycle-racing courses. And let’s not forget the latest love of her life: her granddaughter! Ann is always excited to share sweet tidbits about the baby.
Kathy is a long time member of the practice, boasting an impressive nineteen years here. She was born and raised in Indiana, where she also went to Indiana University for dental hygiene. Kathy then found herself in Colorado where she spends a lot of time outdoors biking, hiking, and navigating the rivers on the “cataraft" (a catamaran-raft hybrid) that she and her boyfriend Sean recently acquired. Kathy is also a bit of a music buff, stating attending bluegrass festivals and jam bands concerts as preferred pastimes. When she has the time, which isn’t often, Kathy also dabbles in painting abstracts.
